Dave's 1840 era California Craftsman house still had its original kitchen in 2004.
He had the house remodeled and "freshened", saving the kitchen for last.
We fit the kitchen cabinetry into the existing room, choosing cherry in a clear finish
with a simple, easy to clean, historical style that fit the overall design of the house.
The doors are solid cherry put together in a flat frame and panel style.
The finish is a catalyzed conversion varnish in a satin sheen.
He chose a solid surface material for the counters. |

Under drawer mounted ball bearing slides made for a clean look
with modern function. All the lower door cabinets have these rollout shelves.
Note the under cabinet lighting in the left photo.
We like this type of counter/work space light and generally include space to hide these lights.

This is a very useful pantry cabinet fitted into a space 3 feet wide and 10 inches deep.
We made all the shelves adjustable so Dave could shift them to his changing needs. |
